Press Release

County Clerk announces Youth Voter Registration (YVRP) and High School County Council Programs.

The Elections Division of the Office of the County Clerk will be reaching out to students in their annual effort to increase voter registration.  The Youth Voter Registration Project occurs every year.  The program is taken out to schools willing to participate, who will bring eligible students (ages 16-18) together to fill out voter registration applications.  The applications are brought back to the office of the Elections Division where registrars are entered into the statewide elections registration system.  When students turn 18, the system “kicks them over” to be eligible to vote.  They will get a card in the mail with their precinct location.

In conjunction with the YVRP this year, the Office of the County Clerk is conducting an exciting program for students called the “High School County Council Program.”  For details regarding the High School County Council Program, please see the recently issued press release.

County Clerk announces island wide Voter Registration Drives.  The drives will be carried out at locations around the island. For dates and times, see  Voter Registration Drive.
